The Social Good Fund works to create and establish positive influences for individuals, communities, and the environment. Our goal is to sponsor and develop projects that will help positively impact and develop local communities into healthier and happier places to live, work, and be.
West Marine Blue Future is proud to support outstanding, nonprofit, community-based organizations across the United States and Canada that are dedicated to waterlife adventure, education and recreation among young people. Twice a year, we offer grants through our BlueFuture Fund, providing these worthy organizations with the resources they need to continue offering their valuable programming.


Sailors for the Sea is a leading Ocean Awareness organization with a focus on engaging, educating and inspiring action in the boating and sailing communities. KELP, The Kids Environment Learning Program, is thier program to education youth about the ocean, and how we can effect it for better or for worse. We are partnering with Sailors for the Sea to help spread the message to our youth, while helping us develop programs more suited to the length of our engagement with the kids, and helping us choose citizen science programs that the kids can directly participate in while on the water with us. They publish the Green Boating Guide as well as the monthly Ocean Watch journal.


National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) is a dedicated, influential member-based organization of classroom teachers, informal educators, university professors, scientists, and more from around the world working together to advance the understanding and protection of our freshwater and marine ecosystems. From scientists working in the deep sea to students studying underwater archeology in the Great Lakes, NMEA members are dedicated to making known the world of water, both fresh and salt.
The American Sailing Association (ASA) was founded in 1983 with a simply stated mission: to teach people to sail safely and confidently. To achieve that goal, the ASA set out to establish standards against which to measure a sailor’s level of knowledge and skill, the first such unified standards in the U.S. to apply to sailors in keelboats.
The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) is a marine industry-led organization of environmental stewards preserving the marine environment by promoting sustainable marine industry best practices and educating seafarers, students and the public about the need and strategies for protecting global ocean, lake and river resources
